New outdoor learning area for students at Temple Christian College

Temple Christian College‘s Bethany Campus in Paralowie have unveiled their newly constructed covered outdoor learning area today, supported by the $405,000 funding contribution from the Federal Liberal Government.

Representing the Minister for Education the Hon Dan Tehan MP at today’s formalities, Senator for South Australia the Hon David Fawcett officially opened the new facilities.

“This new learning area will benefit not just the students enrolled in the school this year, but a generation of future students in their local community,” Senator Fawcett said.

“Our Government’s priority is to ensure students leave school with the knowledge and skills they need to pursue their goals and contribute to their local communities and broader Australian society.

“Under the Capital Grants Program, the Federal Liberal Government has committed $11.2 million for 14 school projects in South Australia this year.

“This Government is committed to providing Australian children and young people with the best education possible and we have demonstrated this by increasing funding for Education every year since forming government in 2013.

“This annual increase in funding equates to over 60% more per student for Australian Schools since 2013.”

The Government has committed $703 million until 2022 through the Capital Grants Program, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.
